Apprenticeships: engineering matters

I sometimes wonder what homework time looks like for the families of the other kids in Kennedy’s class.. Here’s what ours looks like: Juice stained face, half worn-off temporary tattoo and all.. Read more about my perfect moments.I had a great idea.I really love those round rattan place mats that everyone has, but I sometimes have pretty large groups for dinner, so I would want to get about 10 or 12.

With the cost of them, it just didn’t seem like the smartest investment right now..

I started thinking about other natural materials that I could use to get a similar look. You can see that the construction is pretty simple from the back though.

I painted the front to make them look weathered using a bunch of different random paints that I had on hand at the time..I combined the two elements to make one big farmhousy piece of art for the wall!.

….I don’t know what that’s supposed to mean so don’t ask.Kennedy helped me decide on the placement of the stars by holding them up while I stood back.
